Prazelenina is a non-profit urban gardening project in Prague’s Holešovice district that’s all about building community. The project includes 150 garden plots for rent (850.- per season, season runs end April-end October), as well as an outdoor cafe serving artisanal bread baked in the garden’s own brick oven, fresh Únětice beer and Prager cider, and a pétanque field. The whole project is run by volunteers from the local community.
“Our motto is ‘growing veggies and relationships’. We never received any funding or grant — we are completely self-sufficient.” – Filip Volavka, chairman
